1. Who we are

2. Product approach
Sit: Simple Meditation is designed around data minimisation. V1.0 does not require account registration and is built without advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.
3. Information we process
3.1 Information not stored on our own servers
Through the app, we do not intentionally collect or centrally store the following on our own servers:
- meditation history;
- favourite soundscapes;
- timer preferences;
- health data;
- location data;
- microphone or camera content;
- account credentials, because the app does not require an account.
3.2 Information stored on your device
The app stores necessary local data on your device, such as:
- selected soundscape;
- timer presets;
- reminder preferences;
- end bell settings;
- local meditation records.
3.3 Information stored in your personal iCloud account
If you use subscription features that support sync, some app data may be stored in your personal iCloud account through Apple CloudKit private storage. Under the current V1.0 architecture, we do not maintain a separate central copy of that app data on our own servers.
3.4 Payments and subscriptions
Purchases and subscription billing are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card details.
3.5 Notifications
If you enable meditation reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are not marketing notifications.
3.6 Support messages
If you contact us by email, we process the information you include in your message, such as your email address and support request details.
4. Why we use information
- to provide core timer and soundscape functionality;
- to save local preferences on your device;
- to sync eligible subscriber data via your personal iCloud account;
- to determine and restore subscription access purchased through Apple;
- to respond to support requests;
- to comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal bases
Depending on the context, we rely on contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent where required, such as for notifications.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with:
- Apple, where needed for App Store billing, StoreKit, iCloud, or related device services;
- service providers that help us run our support email or website, if any;
- authorities, courts, advisers, or regulators where legally required.
7. Retention
- local app data remains on your device until you remove it or delete the app;
- iCloud-synced data remains in your personal iCloud account until removed there;
- support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support and legal recordkeeping.
8. Your rights

9. Children
Sit: Simple Meditation is not intentionally directed to children below the minimum age required by applicable law.
